In March 2020, Myriad Real Estate announced a new partnership with UMOM New Day Centers. This partnership resulted in a charitable donation from the Myriad team that helped fund UMOM’s efforts to fight homelessness. UMOM’s mission is to provide housing and essential services to the community in and around Phoenix. Every time a referred client closes on a home with Myriad, 5% of that commission is donated to UMOM. In 2021, we’re striving to top last year’s donation of $10,000. Giving back is a big part of the Myriad culture.

For founder Danny Brown, a Phoenix native, this community has been a part of the fabric of his entire life. Brown chose UMOM for this partnership because he and his team are deeply committed to helping fight homelessness in the Phoenix area. “Homelessness can and does happen to anyone. You can be educated or not; you can be working or unemployed; you can have a loving family or be the victim of domestic violence and abuse. It can happen to you.” Lori H (UMOM Website- Perspectives on Homelessness) This partnership was born from the idea that every home sale or purchase made by a client is really an opportunity to help someone struggling with homelessness work towards a better future. A portion of each referred commission is set aside, and then a lump sum is donated to UMOM at the end of each year. In Brown’s own words, “If you refer a client to Myriad, and that client ends up buying or selling a home through us, we donate a portion of the money we earn on that closing. And there’s no strings attached – it doesn’t matter who the person referring is- they don’t have to be a past client, they don’t have to have a personal relationship with us. We give back to every single person who tells us that they found us through someone they know.”

Founded in 1964, UMOM is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and is an innovative provider of shelter, housing, and services for people experiencing homelessness.
